Faxing services are available at the rate of $1 per page to send or receive inside of the U.S. Outside of the U.S. is $3 per page. Our fax number is 217-774-2634.
Scanning services are available at the rate of $1 per page.
Color or black and white single-sided copies are $0.25 per page.
Color or black and white double-sided copies are $0.30 per page.
Color or black and white documents and images may be printed from library computers at the cost of $0.25 per single-sided page and $0.30 per double-sided page.
Regular paper and menu-sized material lamination is available for $1 per page. For business card-sized material, the fee is $0.50 each.
A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of this service. Notary services will typically be available from 9-5 on Monday-Friday. The fee is $1 per notarized page.
There are 12 public computers available for patrons to access. In order to use a computer, patrons simply need to sign in at the front circulation desk and request a PIN. Sessions are 2 hours long unless there are others waiting.

Patrons may send pages from the microfilm machine to the printer for $0.25 per page.
Patrons have access at the library to many cemetary books published by the Shelbyville Historical and Genealogical Society. For a list of newspapers on microfilm that is available for patrons to use at the library, CLICK HERE. Library staff members are creating an obituary index from the newspapers we have on microfilm. If you know the date of an obituary you would like, staff can look it up for you. If you are unsure of the date or have a range, you will need to come to the library to search the microfilm.
Patrons with a library card from Shelbyville Public Library have access to digital databases provided by the library. HeritageQuest Online may be accessed either at the library or by patrons at home. Ancestry Library Edition is accessible using a patron computer at the library.
